Niuscha Bassiri brings over 20 years of experience as an arbitrator and counsel in high-profile international arbitrations across institutions like ICC, LCIA, and SIAC. She has represented sovereign states in setting aside and enforcement proceedings and successfully mediated an ICC post-M&A dispute. A distinguished academic, Ms. Bassiri teaches at the University of Miami’s LLM program and the Geneva LLM in International Dispute Settlement, and has lectured at leading institutions such as the National University of Singapore. She is also a faculty member of CIArb’s Virtual Diploma and Co-Chair of the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy for Eastern Europe. An authority on international arbitration, Ms. Bassiri regularly speaks at global conferences and publishes widely on topics like investment arbitration, EU consumer law, and AI in arbitration. She is co-editor of several landmark books, including International Arbitration and the COVID-19 Revolution, and contributes to key ICCA guides.
