Bridget McCormack
President and CEO, AAA-ICDR
Bridget M. McCormack is President and CEO of the American Arbitration Association–International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (AAA-ICDR®). She joined the organization in February 2023 after a career in judicial service, court administration, and legal education. Before AAA-ICDR, she served on the Michigan Supreme Court, including four years as Chief Justice, where she focused on access to justice and utilizing technology to modernize court operations, including online dispute resolution and eviction diversion initiatives. She previously taught at Yale Law School and the University of Michigan Law School. She serves on the Council of the American Law Institute and on advisory or governing boards for the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System, Washington University’s Artificial Intelligence Advisory Board, and the American Review of International Arbitration. She is also a member of the National Center for State Courts’ AI Council and the Boards of the Foundation for International Arbitration Advocacy and AccessLex Institute, and is a founding steering committee member of Duke Law School’s Responsible AI in Legal Services initiative.
McCormack has received recognitions for leadership, innovation, and service, including the 2025 Monica Bay Women of Legal Tech Award, the 2023 Sunshine Award from the Michigan Press Association, and the 2023 Rebuilding Justice Award from the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System. She was named an “Influential Woman in Law” in 2022 and a Michiganian of the Year in 2020. She is married to Steven Croley, Ford Motor Company’s general counsel, and they have four children
